In each & every evening, our study tables seem packed of books,
Not to mention the copies, pens and other stuffs to make our hearts fool.
Why read & write every day?
When we ourselves do not have belief in those articles;
Getting out of that quotidian life of memorizing,
Of that life of studying for marks and running after grading,
Can’t we just read & write heartily,
Not for notes but for apprehending
The real value of those articles and the reasons behind those writings.
Just imagine for a bit,
How do we study?
We are studying Science for a long time,
But still don’t know what to do with it.
We’re memorizing chemical reactions in Chemistry,
But are not understanding its merits & demerits,
We don’t know what happens when we change the reaction a little bit;
And all these are happening due to the lack of doing these activities practically;
And for learning without understanding; for only memorizing.
Just think for a little bit more,
How do we study?
We know ‘There are 206 bones in human body’
Which we’ve read in Biology;
But do we really know what to do if these are broken,
How to mend these;
“Smoking is injurious to health.”
Who hasn’t heard it?
But we aren’t trying to keep our lungs free
From some operations which include life risks.
In our student life, we’re just passing times by memorizing these;
But are not actually understanding it.
Let your mind think for a while,
By memorizing Math, what do we get at the end of the day?
Can we invent a game or a machine that is worth praise?
Our minds just remain dull & lethargic
Just like those books that we memorize sincerely.
Let’s think for a while again,
How do we study?
Social-Science, a great subject it is indeed, isn’t it?
“We won’t throw garbage here & there.”
“Child labor must be stopped! The criminals must be scared!”
“Women are free now, we are here!”
Who hasn’t written all the above phrases in his exam copies?
Who hasn’t read it every year in the indolent books on the study tables?
But how many people have become truly successful for understanding
And for applying those phrases in the society?
Just assume once more,
How do we study?
We learn a language for decades,
Which gives us the result of hesitancy and quite a lot of grammatical mistakes,
But if we could just understand the effective way,
It would be way easier to learn a language
In a short period and with capability of usage.
Just think again,
Our books are giving us knowledge for doing ethical things,
But we’re still throwing wastes on the serene streets.
We’re not resisting ourselves from being thieves;
Gambling, Smoking, Child Trafficking, Child Labor are our regular habits.
“We must do everything which The Almighty has told us to do”
Frankly, how much do we devote to our Lord?
We’re reading & writing all these every day,
But are not really understanding these wholeheartedly.
So, what can we do now?
Removing all the bad habits,
We must descend in the field of honesty,
Bravery and morality.
Without keeping our knowledge up to memorizing,
We need to comprehend everything.
The letters in the book must get a place in our heart
So that we can tell that “We are now learning from our hearts!”
